Veggie & Vegan-Friendly Eateries in Chester

Jan 4, 2018

Looking for veggie and vegan-friendly restaurants in Chester? Get yourself down to some of these hip and happening spots for some of the best veggie and vegan grub in Cheshire:

La P’tite France

France, a place of charcuteries, blue steaks and cheese; probably not the type of food you’d recommend to a vegan.

La P’tite France is looking to change that. This charming city centre spot offers classic French food produced with the freshest, local ingredients.

A little slice of Paris in Cheshire, there is a decent selection of veggie-friendly dishes for those not fancying the frogs’ legs.

VBites

Admittedly, being located in the back of a Holland & Barrett store is a strange one, but that is where you’ll find VBites.

Chester is VBites’ third outlet worldwide, the others being in New York and Brighton.

As you can tell, they do things a little differently here. The brainchild of British five-time Winter Sports world record holder, Heather Mills, VBites is keen to take healthy vegan food mainstream.

Grab yourself a fishless steak or a fake pulled pork wrap. Takeout only makes VBites a handy pitstop for your Chester shopping trip.

The Chef’s Table

Take a seat at The Chef’s Table for some of the best grub in town. Locally sourced, and seasonal themed, you can sample some butter roasted artichoke with gnocchi here, or the more vegan-themed summer veg.

Atina Kitchen

Atina’s is a friendly, family-run joint that serves up Italian classics with a British twist.

Tuck into some of Nonna’s finest lasagne or go all out on the towering veggie stack, with smoked mushrooms and lentil burger.

Not the cheapest, but certainly one of the best.

Sticky Walnut

A stylish restaurant serving some truly delicious veggie meals including butternut squash soup and swede and walnut pasta.

A three-courser here is going to cost a-days wage but it really is worth the extra expenditure every once in a while, right?

Nice Bites

A relatively new addition to the bustling Market Hall, Nice Bites brings the ever-popular street food revolution to Chester.

Pop in for a healthy alternative to your lunchtime sandwich and watch the chef’s whipping up your order right in front of you. How cool is that?

Marmalade

An eight ’til five cafe that serves hearty meals and alcoholic drinks alongside the usual cakes and coffee.

Marmalade has some great veggie and vegan options, from a full veg breakfast to creamy hummus and red pepper paninis.
