Coventry Transport Museum

Coventry’s history is intrinsically linked with the motor industry. Once the leading light in British car manufacturing, it’s no surprise that the city has a museum dedicated to all things cars.

The Coventry Transport Museum houses over 230 cars, 250 cycles and 100 motorbikes ranging from the state limousine of King George V to the record-breaking ThrustSSC land speeder.

An ode to the British car industry, you don’t have to be a petrolhead to enjoy the Transport Museum’s collection.

Not only was Coventry a bastion of British car manufacturing, it was also the home of the UK watch industry.

A fact celebrated at the city’s Watch Museum. This little spot is home to a wide collection of timekeeping devices, from pocket watches to grandfather clocks.

If you’ve got the time, spend a few hours wandering around this stellar museum.

The Coventry Music Museum
