Authentic Places for Pizza in Harrogate
From a simple margherita to loaded meat feast, a good pizza can be the stuff of legend on its day. Luckily, there’s plenty of choices for pizza in Harrogate when it comes to the Italian classic.
Vivido is a popular joint bang in the centre of Harrogate serving up traditional Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed, colourful setting.
You can pick up a classic C & T for a little under a tenner, or lavish a few more pounds on more varied toppings.
The pizzas are conventionally Italian in style and a good size to boot. The sausage topped Calabrese has our vote for a top pizza in Harrogate.

Gianni’s Brio Restaurant & Pizzeria
Gianni’s has been around since 1983 and has a hefty range of top-end pizzas for you to tuck into. A pricier option for pizza in Harrogate than others on this list, but you get what you pay for. Veg lovers should plumb for the Caprino e Zucca – roasted butternut squash, shallots, goat’s cheese and honey. 40-42 King’s Rd, Harrogate HG1 5JW (brios)
A recent addition to Harrogate’s Italian restaurant scene, Buon Gusto is already making a name for itself thanks to its delicious menu.
Everything tastes as if the recipe has been passed through the family and refined over the years and really captures the light flavours of Med cooking.
Buon Gusto goes for the thin and crispy approach, with the spicy salami-based Diavola a good shout.

Al Bivio Restaurant
Head a little out of town to Hornbeam Park and you’ll find this little gem serving the 9-5 hordes of the nearby business park.
All the classics are here, as well as few more adventurous topping flavours. Folk looking for something more than your standard Margherita should check out the poached pear-topped Pizza Al Bvo, or perhaps the tiger prawn and walnut combo of a Gamberoni Funghi Noci.

Burgers & More
The “and more” being excellent pizza. It’s no secret that this award-winning joint is lauded across the county for its stacked burger towers, but the Italian themed alternatives are worth shouting about too. Well priced and well sized, you can tuck into a goat’s cheese and stilton slice at just over £8. These guys stone-bake their bases and make their own sauce for a truly distinctive taste. What’s more? There’s even a black pudding topped variety for that rare blend of Italian and Northern England taste sensations. 11-19 King’s Rd, Harrogate HG1 5JY (burgersandmore)
Major Tom’s Social
Super cool hangout specialising in craft beers, great coffee and stonebaked pizza.
Handmade onsite, these are the best-priced pizzas in town and range from a steady spicy chorizo right up to the spinach and artichoke topped Super Vegan (that’s with no cheese if you’re wondering).
3 The Ginnel, Harrogate HG1 2RB (majortomsocial)
Don’t be deceived into believing Pizza Ficio is any old bog-standard Friday night takeaway. This little takeout spot serves up some of the tastiest cheese and dough in Harrogate.
Of course, opening times are restricted to evenings, but the freshly-made deep pan dough is certainly worth the wait.
Pretty well-priced, and that’s without the inclusion of the rotating meal deals running on a weekly basis.
