12″ Classics: Where to Find Vinyl in Sheffield

Jan 9, 2018

The rebirth of vinyl records has been gathering pace for years. Whether it’s for the (supposedly) better sound quality, or the fancy artwork, the Steel City has a wealth of options when it comes to stocking up on 12″ LPs. Here are some of the best places to find vinyl in Sheffield:

Spinning Discs

Spinning Discs is more than a record shop, it has become something of a music-lovers community hub where folks can hang out, talk music and grab a coffee.

There’s plenty of discs on sale, though the choices tend to lean towards more modern fare.

They’ll also clean your old collection too, restoring your much-loved favourites to their former glory.

LP Record Store

Haunt of the Steel City’s student population, owing to its location by the Sheffield Hallam campus, this shop does their utmost to locate the most unique and unusual musicians around.

Cheaper than a Latte from the local coffee chain, LP’s is the kind of venue you can get lost in for hours.

Record Collector

A famous joint for vinyl in Sheffield, Record Collector has been a firm favourite of the city’s music fans for decades.

First opening in 1978, their eclectic collection covers an array of genres from across the years.

With such a big library for sale, you’d be hard-pressed to find an artist so obscure it isn’t residing at the Record Collector.
