World Book Day at Windsor Castle
Celebrate World Book Day at Windsor Castle this 7 March and explore the literary world in style.
World Book Day returns 7 March 2019 for another magical ode to the literary world. You can enjoy the festivities in the grand setting of Windsor Castle as part of book-themed day full of fun for all the family.
The royal castle is hosting a range of family-friendly events throughout March to celebrate the 22nd edition of World Book Day.
Discover the myths and legends of Windsor Castle itself in an atmospheric storytelling session led by Olivia Armstrong in the grand State Apartments on 2 March. Those who arrive in costume will be gifted a small present to mark the occasion, so be sure to put on your best book-themed outfit!
Alternatively, let the kids get creative at Windsor Castle’s art workshops running on 9, 16, 23 and 30 March. Children will have a chance to make their own royal bookmark fit for a Queen, and explore some of the precious books held within the collection at the Royal Library.
Entry is included as part of the Windsor Castle entrance fee.
