Best Burgers in Glasgow

Mar 20, 2018

Everyone loves a good burger. Beef or otherwise. There’s just something pretty comforting about a burger, bread and salad together.

Glasgow is packed with local joints and grilling experts offering up some of the best-tasting patties around. With that in mind, we’ve put together this list of some of our favourite places to grab a burger in Glasgow.

Bread Meats Bread

This much-loved burger joint is one of Glasgow’s best. The awards speak for themselves: Scotland’s Best Burger 2016, Glasgow’s Best Burger two years running, Yelp’s Top Place to Eat in Glasgow 2016, the list goes on.

Seriously, if that isn’t enough to sway you then we don’t know what is. The range of toppings and flavours is out of this world, from the kimchi and fried-egg combos of Kim Young Bun to the slow-roasted BBQ lamb and pomegranate tastes of the Lamburghini (yep, the names are great too).

Inn Deep

Inn Deep is a riverside burger house serving up delicious make-your-own style patties, with a heady range of topping combos.

Choose a base burger and have it as is (still delicious), or chuck on plenty of extras for a small fee to craft your dream burger meal.

Steak, Cattle & Roll (Sauchiehall Street)

One of the twin venues in Scotland’s largest city, the Sauchiehall Street venture of this popular American style diner is arguably the better of the two.

Famous for their now retired Mammoth Burger Challenge, there is still plenty of hearty grub on the menu to fill up on.

We recommend the cheesy pork nacho topped Nacho Burger, or the southern-fried Seitan Vegan Chicken tender for you veggies out there.

The Butchershop Bar & Grill

Swing by on a Tuesday for the Butchershop’s stellar Burger vs Steak nights. Here, you can order two house-style burgers or two dry-aged rump steaks (or one of each), alongside a mountain of fries and a bottle of wine.

£30 all in, not a bad deal at all.

The Butterfly & The Pig

Oozing buckets of charm with its shabby chic interiors is Glasgow’s very own vintage eatery, The Butterfly and The Pig.

But it’s the burgers you’re here for, and they are some of the best in town.

Plump for the classic set-up of a Butterfly & Piglet Burger or go plant-based with a mushroom and veggie-haggis get up.

The 78

Glasgow’s very own super-stylish vegan hangout. The 78 is part events space, part bar, and part deliciously good veggie restaurant.

Tucked away in Glasgow’s West End, you can watch your vegan grub being prepped before your eyes thanks to the open kitchen setup.

And why not stick around for some live music on a weekend?
